GENERAL BILLING INFORMATION
Greenslopes Family Practice is a private billing practice. We currently bulk bill DVA gold card holders, Centrelink pension card holders & children aged 12 and under.
Patients with a current Medicare card will receive a rebate from Medicare for privately billed consultations. Our friendly reception staff are able to submit your claim to Medicare for your rebate if you are already registered for online services. Your rebate will be paid directly into your bank account. If you have not registered your bank details with Medicare this can be done by visiting the myGov website.
Fees are charged according to the complexity & time involved & based on AMA recommendations.
Telehealth consultations – Greenslopes Family Practice will be charging equivalent fees for telehealth consultations and face to face consultations.
Non-Attendance Fees – Missed appointments without sufficient notice will be charged the full consultation fee. Cancelling your appointment with sufficient notice if it is no longer needed means we can offer the time to another patient as often we are booked out in advance. *Please note: new patients who do not attend without notice are required to pay a full consultation fee prior to booking another appointment.
Should you require a Doctor after hours call (07) 3397 1875 where you will be diverted to the National Home Doctor Service. All visits are bulk billed and a clinical report will be sent to your regular GP.
Fee information from 1/11/2025
We would like to advise patients that our fee policy will remain the same from 1/11/25. While the government is encouraging practices to move to a bulk billing model the Medicare rebate would be insufficient to cover the costs of running the practice whilst providing the same level of care & time given in consultations.
Our commitment to bulk billing pension card holders, DVA gold card holders and children aged 12 & under remains the same.
